Youzhny pulls out of Open with wrist injury
MELBOURNE (AFP) - Russian 20th seed Mikhail Youzhny withdrew from the Australian Open Saturday with a wrist injury, handing Poland's Lukasz Kubot a free ride into the fourth round.

Youzhny played one of the matches of the tournament in the first round when he beat Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-4 in the fifth set, but he said the win took its toll with his wrist beginning to hurt late in that epic.
